Herewith result from Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier League, Saturday 1st March 2008:

  Swindon College 10, Oxford 19

Oxford survived an abrasive encounter at Swindon College and deserved the success that came their way with a 19-10 win. There is no doubt that Swindon's mature and experienced team caused Oxford problems throughout the match but the visitors stuck to the game plan of open rugby and this certainly won the day. Oxford took a while to settle but opened the scoring first when winger Phil Longuet-Higgins took the scoring pass to end a great move and run over and round for a try that Tom Olley converted. Neil Walker added to that when he burst through the centre for the next try, and again Olley converted for Oxford to hold a comfortable 14-0 half time lead.  The bigger Swindon forwards got more into the match in the second period and reduced the deficit with a goal and a penalty but Oxford had the last word when Adam Thompson bustled his way over for Oxford's third try. Olley's conversion attempt failed but his team ended worthy winners.
